Trina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and issues with body image. She has experience working with a variety of clients including those who struggle with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, social anxiety, OCD, body dysmorphic disorder, depression, personality disorders, and bipolar disorder using a DBT-based approach. Trina loves to help people realize the power they have to improve their lives through self-compassion and learning to make intentional choices.
She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Olivet Nazarene University and her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ball State University.
Throughout the years she has gained a wealth of knowledge working with adolescent girls and adult women in an inpatient treatment facility for those struggling with eating disorders. Through this experience, she discovered that there is a shortage of outpatient providers who are informed about eating disorders. Trina is passionate about raising awareness and improving education on this topic, as well as dispelling myths and misunderstandings.
Trina lives in Indianapolis with her husband Ethan and their hilarious dog named Yoko and together they are huge basketball fans. In her free time Trina enjoys photography, being outside, traveling, art, and spending time with friends and family.
