Free to Nourish
Become the expert of your body so you can stop feeling out of control with food without giving up the foods you love or following restrictive rules.
Where You’re At
Perhaps you’re feeling out of control with food and uncomfortable in your body.
Nothing seems to be helping you feel more comfortable with your body and food choices.
Maybe you binge on sweets or turn to a party size bag of salty chips after a long and stressful day. Worse, every time you do, you feel guilty. Do your favorite foods feel off limits? But you feel out of control when you go to eat them?
You manage to eat “healthy” all day, but once you sit down for the evening, it’s like “game on!” And before you know it, you’re at the bottom of the pint of ice cream.
Sometimes you feel so stuck and unhappy with your body, you resort to going on yet ANOTHER diet. When that fails, you blame yourself thinking you just don’t have the willpower or self-control.
It’s not your fault you keep ending here.
You don't need to be fixed. You’re NOT broken or weak.
Maybe you just need better the tools to get you out of food jail + body hatred.
Imagine ...
Having a positive relationship with all foods. You love how wonderful it feels to enjoy a nourishing and delicious meal and move on with your day!
There’s no hint of shame or guilt. You can order appetizers and/or dessert while out at a restaurant without an ounce of anxiety.
The best part, you feel confident about what, when, and how much to eat while feeling good in your body.
Even better, you are able to get dressed each day without picking your body a part.
Stop feeling shame and guilt around food.
Start feeling free and confident to eat what you enjoy while listening to your body’s wants and needs.

Meet Your Intuitive Eating Coach!
Hi, I’m Lauren!
I work with women who struggle with their relationship to food and their bodies. They’re frustrated with feeling out of control and don’t want to go on another diet. I help them create a positive relationship with food so that they can eat confidently.
I understand because I’ve been there and have worked through it.
For most of my life, I struggled with a toxic relationship with food leading to overeating and binging on a daily basis. Guilt ridden, I’d go to bed every night feeling extremely uncomfortable and wake up the next morning determined to not make the same mistakes. I was convinced that this cycle was all caused by my lack of willpower and self control. I felt weak and broken. With little resources and tools, it took me a long time but I finally found freedom on my own and escaped what I refer to as “food jail.” Although I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey, I don’t want YOU to do this alone. Healing your relationship with food requires a lot of compassion and support which you will find in Free to Nourish. I am so glad you are here and am eager to connect with you!
Meet Your Body Image Specialist!
Katie is a licensed clinical social worker who provides individual outpatient therapy services. She is a trained psychotherapist who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University. While attending Indiana University Graduate School of Social Work, she worked as a personal trainer and enjoyed the coaching aspects of personal training as well as the satisfaction of helping others to achieve their goals.
After graduation from Indiana University with her Master’s in Clinical Social Work, Katie worked at Legacy House as the Child and Adolescent Specialist, treating children and families who were survivors of violent crime and trauma. She then spent two and half years working and studying at the Wright Institute in Los Angeles, California. During this time she also worked as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team at the Dr. Susan Krevoy Eating Disorder Program. The two and half years included an intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy training program with 5 hours of supervision per week with professionals of different disciplines. This experience helped Katie to understand how to apply different treatment modalities to address root causes of psychological issues that ultimately bring about long-term and lasting changes.
Katie launched her private practice in Santa Monica, California, and specialized in clients suffering with eating disorders and the co-existing mood disorders, as well as other psychological issues, including trauma. Katie discovered mindfulness and became excited about its implications for treating eating disorders. An essential element to the therapeutic process is to help a client to integrate mind, body and spirit. The advances in the field of neuroscience have made it possible to validate that mindfulness is a powerful treatment tool when used with psychotherapy. Katie holds clinical licenses in both Indiana and California.
She is passionate about her work and believes that it requires a life-long commitment to continued education and personal growth to be able to effectively help others.
