Brenna is a clinical therapist with a primary focus on eating disorders and body image issues. Brenna earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ball State University. During her studies, she dedicated research to eating disorder etiology and treatment.
She has a range of counseling experience, in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with children, teens, and adults struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, body dysmorphia; anxiety; depression; substance use; trauma disturbances; and other comorbid disorders. Brenna’s approach to therapy is client-centered and emphasizes CBT/DBT principles. She believes each and every client is capable of making fulfilling changes in their life with the necessary support and desire. The centerpiece of her approach is fostering a safe space for growth, joining clients where they are in their journey, and working together toward healing. Brenna has found a deep passion for helping clients to feel empowered in their own bodies and minds, regardless of what walks of life they come from. She works with each client to understand and strengthen the relationship they have with themselves. She also has a particular interest in family work and provides services to those who have a loved one struggling with an eating disorder. Additionally, as a mom herself, she gravitates towards impactful work with pregnant or new moms to improve their relationship with themselves and their bodies.
Some of the things that bring Brenna joy in her personal life are her daughter, her husband, family gatherings, the outdoors, traveling, reality TV, and podcasts!
